The legal version

Terms & Conditions

The full contract — the legal version of our salon policies.

By visiting the AMIA Hair Studios website or booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which incorporate our Salon Policies, Privacy Policy, Shipping and Returns. We may update these from time to time; please review them periodically.

01

Bookings and payments

Booking fee

  • ·All appointments require a non-refundable booking fee at the time of booking to confirm the appointment.

  • ·The booking fee is deducted from the final cost of your service.

Paying the booking fee online

  • ·The booking fee is taken via card at checkout — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Paying the balance in the salon

  • ·The remaining balance (service total less the booking fee, plus any add-ons agreed on the day) is due in full at the end of your appointment.

  • ·In-salon balances are payable by cash or bank transfer. Please factor in any extensions, colour add-ons or upgrades you’ve agreed when calculating what to bring.

Retail products

  • ·Online product orders are paid by card at checkout. In-salon retail can be paid by cash, bank transfer or card.

02

Rescheduling, cancellations and refunds

Rescheduling

  • ·Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • ·Your booking fee transfers to the new appointment provided it falls within the same calendar month.

  • ·Rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice is permitted at AMIA’s discretion, subject to availability.

Cancellations

  • ·Booking fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • ·Any cancellation, missed appointment or no-show will result in loss of the booking fee.

Late arrivals

  • ·If you’re running late, call us as soon as possible. We don’t charge late fees.

  • ·Where lateness can’t be absorbed without disrupting the next client, the service may need to be shortened or rescheduled. Whether the appointment can go ahead is at the stylist’s discretion.

Refunds

  • ·Refunds are not offered for completed services except at AMIA’s discretion in exceptional circumstances. This does not create any entitlement or expectation of a refund.

Service disclaimer

Quality assurance

AMIA strives to provide professional, high-quality services. However, results may vary based on individual hair condition and adherence to aftercare instructions.

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for following aftercare advice provided by their stylist. Where preparation is required (such as detangling, washing or blow-drying prior to your appointment), failure to prepare adequately may affect the result or the time available for your service.

Previous treatments

We are not liable for results affected by previous treatments — professional or non-professional — that were not disclosed at consultation.

Stylist availability

We do our best to accommodate stylist requests, but availability cannot be guaranteed. If your chosen stylist is unavailable, we will offer an alternative or reschedule.

Wig & lace recommendations

For the most natural finish on a wig install, we recommend HD lace. Where clients supply their own lace that is not HD or transparent, or thicker than recommended, the final hairline may be affected. We will always advise, but the result depends on the materials provided.

04

Health and safety

Client information

It is the client’s responsibility to inform us of any allergies, sensitivities, or scalp conditions that may impact the service.

Right to refuse service

AMIA reserves the right to refuse services where there is a risk to the client’s health or to staff safety.

Children’s policy

  • ·Children under 12 must be supervised at all times and cannot be left unattended in the salon.

05

Intellectual property

All content on the AMIA Hair Studios website — including text, images, designs and logos — is the exclusive property of AMIA Hair Studios. Reproduction without prior written consent is prohibited.

06

Photography & content

In-salon content

AMIA may take photographs or video recordings inside the salon for marketing, social media or training purposes — including services being carried out, finished styles and general activity in the salon.

Client consent

By attending your appointment, you acknowledge that photography or video may take place and that you may be captured in such content.

Use of content

Any content taken may be used by AMIA for promotional purposes, including social media, website content and marketing materials.

Opt-out

Clients who do not wish to appear in photos or videos must inform staff clearly before or upon arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, but cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all content.

07

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
